Join us and be part of a company that supports your professional journey and offers exciting challenges.As a Trading Services Associate I within JPMorgan Chase, you will provide end-to-end trade support across confirmations, reconciliations, reporting, repairs, fails reporting and follow-up, time deposit processing, and confirm-affirm activities for municipal bonds. You will collaborate closely with Client Account Managers, Front Office, and Portfolio Managers to ensure timely and accurate trade confirmations and settlements. You will participate in Business and Operations meetings to demonstrate and communicate workflows, best practices, and relevant technologies. You will plan, schedule, and manage team deliverables, monitoring output to maintain high SLA compliance, accuracy, and adherence to internal and external controls. You will proactively identify, escalate, and promote resolution of material issues while continuously reviewing processes to enhance efficiency, increase automation, and strengthen controls. You will partner with the Manager to implement on-the-job training, maintain high competence standards, and support succession planning and career development within the team. You will own key team management responsibilities such as vacation planning and performance input, helping to maintain a well-managed and resilient team. You will provide hands-on oversight of trade support across Investment Manager or Investment Banking Operations, managing trades, exceptions, risk items, and real-time desk dialogue. You will promote reduction of claims, fails, and breaks across products by maintaining strong operational discipline in a financially sensitive environment. You will also act as a critical point of contact for Portfolio Management Groups and the Front Office, handling queries and investigations and coordinating timely resolution with relevant stakeholders.
Job responsibilities
- Participate in Business and Operations meetings; demonstrate and communicate workflows, best practices, and relevant technologies.
- Plan, schedule, and manage team deliverables end-to-end.
- Monitor deliverables to ensure high SLA compliance and accuracy standards.
- Ensure adherence to internal and external standard procedures, controls, and best practices.
- Identify, address, and/or escalate material issues in a detailed and timely manner; drive issues through to closure. Review operating processes to enhance efficiency, increase automation, and strengthen controls.
- Liaise with the Manager to identify and implement on-the-job training initiatives for team members.
- Own team management duties (e.g., vacation management, performance appraisals).
- Maintain high training and competence standards; ensure succession planning and career development focus across the team.
- Provide hands-on trade support oversight across Investment Manager or Investment Banking Operations; monitor and work through trades, exceptions, risk, and real-time desk dialogue.
- Drive reduction of claims/fails and breaks across products; maintain operational discipline in a financially sensitive environment.
- Support Portfolio Management Groups and Front Office as a critical Trade Support function; handle queries/investigations and coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Strong understanding of trade support within Investment Manager and/or Investment Banking Operations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong analytical skills: able to analyze process flows and ideate/execute operational improvements.
- Proactive ownership mindset: ability to identify people/process issues impacting client experience and follow through to closure.
- Excellent communication skills (assertive spoken communication and clear, professional written communication); able to assist Client Service Specialists with queries/investigations.
- Proven ability to drive operational discipline day-to-day in a high-risk, financially sensitive function.
- Adaptability and prioritization: ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong control orientation and risk awareness; capable of supporting audit requirements and meeting regulatory/compliance asks.
