Role
Accounts Payable - Cash Management CoE provides payments services to REIF and PE clients.
Evaluates and reconciles Client's documents and process and review payments in various banks on behalf of clients.
Core competencies and skills required
- Strong Understanding of day to day operational activities of payments.
- Demonstrate through examples /evidence strong operations knowledge including secondary review & controls, risks & mitigation
- Excellent spoken and written English, and the ability to write business correspondence.
- Ability to independently address technical & non-technical issues, conduct knowledge share / training sessions, proactively troubleshoot and manage escalations, and work with global teams
- Good analytical, numerical and reasoning skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under extremely time sensitive conditions.
- Be technically competent to act as first point of reference for day-to-day queries while performing review/reports/preparation daily and accurately.
- Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reviews of transactions within established guidelines.
- Performing quality assurance checks on information received from clients.
- Working closely with home locations to resolve queries
- To create, maintain and update procedure documents and client specifications
- Comply with all controls and procedures outlined in the procedures manual and general company policies
- Reviewing and signing off on Monthly reports/daily TLM reconciliation prepared by team members/Reviews on certain reports like weekly cash report/Monthly balance update.
- Working closely with the Team Leader and Section Manager on new transitions from home locations
- Ensure all scheduled work is completed by agreed deadlines.
- Identify efficiencies and areas of improvement to reduce risk and put controls to make the process more efficient and robust.
- Ensuring that technology available is being fully utilized in the most efficient manner
- To ensure full and proper reporting to the manager of any operational issues
- Where delays are expected, flag any service delivery issues as early as possible
- Ongoing review of daily controls and communications of any new idea(s) or suggested procedural changes
- To assist with training and coaching new team members as the group grows
- Lead/participate in implementing new technology and efficiency initiatives/projects as needed.
- University degree/Masters in Commerce/Finance.
- 4-6 years of experience on Payments/Relevant experience in Finance Domain
