Description
The Cargill Agricultural Supply Chain (CASC) connects producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through sourcing, storing, trading, processing, and distributing grains and oilseeds, as well as offering a range of financial, risk management and customized farmer services. Shift Available: Day shift
Principal Accountabilities:
- Trimming weeds
- Painting
- Confined space and spark watch
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
- Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 40lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting, bending/stooping, climbing ladders, open/close valves, shoveling, pounding with hammer and work in confined spaces with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic computer experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Experience operating machinery and/or industrial equipment such as forklifts
- Experience working in a production or plant environment
