Description
The OpportunityOur client is an ambitious and fast-growing financial institution operating in the digital banking sector. The organisation combines the stability of an established business with the agility and innovation of a technology-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal AML and counter-terrorist financing policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
- Provide subject matter expertise and regulatory guidance to business units and support functions across the first line of defence.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess their impact on the organisation, and support the implementation of required changes.
- Oversee and continuously improve AML governance structures, controls, and monitoring activities to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Participate in enterprise-wide risk assessments focused on money laundering, terrorist financing, and broader financial crime risks.
- Support internal projects by providing AML compliance expertise and helping embed regulatory requirements into business processes.
- Contribute to the enhancement of compliance standards, control frameworks, and risk management practices.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional experience within banking, financial services, compliance, risk management, or anti-money laundering.
- Solid understanding of AML regulations, financial crime prevention, and regulatory expectations within the financial sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and structured approach to work.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent German and good English language skills.
