The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain internal AML and counter-terrorist financing policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Provide subject matter expertise and regulatory guidance to business units and support functions across the first line of defence.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess their impact on the organisation, and support the implementation of required changes.
• Oversee and continuously improve AML governance structures, controls, and monitoring activities to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
• Participate in enterprise-wide risk assessments focused on money laundering, terrorist financing, and broader financial crime risks.
• Support internal projects by providing AML compliance expertise and helping embed regulatory requirements into business processes.
• Contribute to the enhancement of compliance standards, control frameworks, and risk management practices.

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Professional experience within banking, financial services, compliance, risk management, or anti-money laundering.
• Solid understanding of AML regulations, financial crime prevention, and regulatory expectations within the financial sector.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented and structured approach to work.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and reliability.
• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with stakeholders across multiple functions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent German and good English language skills.
