Job Description:
- Guides the design and implementation of complex data management procedures including data staging, ingestion, preparation, provisioning, and destruction using scripts, programs, and automation tools.
- Provides direction to data engineering teams in designing, developing, implementing, testing, documenting, and preparing large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data structures for business intelligence use.
- Designs, develops, and maintains real-time processing applications and data pipelines.
- Ensures the quality of technical solutions as data transitions across environments.
- Offers senior-level insight into evolving cloud data environments, data processing, storage, and utilization requirements, driving the team toward viable solutions.
- Develops, constructs, tests, and maintains data architectures using advanced programming languages and tools.
- Identifies opportunities to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality; deploys solutions and uses data to discover tasks that can be automated.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all applicable policies and standards.
- Utilizes a comprehensive suite of AWS services including Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, and AWS Step Functions to architect, implement, and optimize the cloud data warehouse infrastructure for efficient data storage, processing, transformation, and retrieval.
- Provides oversight and coordination for third-party vendors, consultants, and contractors involved in solution delivery, ensuring alignment with internal standards, managing deliverables, monitoring performance, and facilitating effective collaboration between internal and external teams.
- Part-time telecommuting permitted.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree or the foreign equivalent in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Design and Management, or a closely related field, plus six years of progressively responsible experience in database and analytic systems management. The required experience must include the following:
- 6 years of experience diagnosing system issues, performing data validation, and conducting quality assurance testing.
- 6 years of experience with data manipulation and data mining.
- 6 years of experience with advanced programming languages and tools, including C#, Java, Python, and SQL.
- 6 years of experience applying analytical skills in a technical or data-driven environment.
- 3 years of experience with big data, data processing, and cloud technologies.
- 3 years of experience working in production cloud infrastructure environments.
- 3 years of experience leading or contributing to project management activities.
- 3 years of experience facilitating collaborative sessions and eliciting input from stakeholders.
- 3 years of experience working with cross-functional teams.
- 3 years of experience adapting to changing priorities in dynamic environments.
- Must have demonstrated knowledge* of cloud data platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Databricks.
*Knowledge may be demonstrated through education, experience, and/or training.

Annual wage/salary: $140,296.00
