Salary: £75,000-£85,000 depending on experience
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Resource & Supply Chain Manager to join a growing engineering and project delivery business based in London.
This is a key operational role responsible for ensuring people, materials, equipment and subcontractors are available at the right time and in the right place to support successful project delivery.
Working closely with Operations, Projects, Technical and Procurement teams, you will lead resource planning, supplier management, procurement coordination and logistics, while identifying risks and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage the company's resource and capacity plan.
• Allocate and optimise Engineers, Site Managers, Supervisors and specialist resources across projects.
• Forecast resource demand, identify capacity gaps and support recruitment planning.
• Manage suppliers and subcontractors, including sourcing, onboarding and performance management.
• Coordinate procurement, equipment hire, transport and logistics.
• Support project mobilisation and ensure projects are appropriately resourced to meet key milestones.
• Monitor supplier KPIs covering delivery, quality, cost, lead times and responsiveness.
• Identify and mitigate risks relating to resource availability, suppliers, logistics and long-lead items.
• Produce management reports covering resource utilisation, capacity, demand and supplier performance.
• Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and cost savings across resource planning and supply chain processes.
• Work collaboratively across Operations, Projects, Technical and Procurement.
• About You The successful candidate will have significant experience in resource planning, workforce planning, project planning, supply chain or operational planning, ideally within an engineering, infrastructure, construction, utilities, environmental or other project-led environment.
You will have:
• Strong experience in resource planning, scheduling and capacity management.
• Experience managing suppliers, subcontractors and procurement activity.
• Experience coordinating equipment, logistics and project mobilisation.
• Strong commercial, organisational and communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 or similar planning software.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and proactively identify potential delivery risks.
• A proactive, highly organised and solutions-focused approach.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 would be advantageous. What's on Offer
