WPC Laboratory Supervisor / Pretreatment Coordinator
City of North Kansas City, Missouri | Public Works – Water Pollution Control Division
The City of North Kansas City is seeking a qualified professional to administer its EPA-approved Industrial Pretreatment Program and manage Water Pollution Control Facility laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer the Industrial Pretreatment Program per 40 CFR Part 403 and MDNR requirements
Conduct industrial user permitting, inspections, compliance monitoring, and enforcement
Oversee laboratory operations including QA/QC, analytical testing, and regulatory reporting
Supervise WPC laboratory staff and coordinate sampling and monitoring activities
Prepare annual pretreatment reports and serve as the City's primary regulatory contact
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Wastewater Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
Class A or B Missouri Wastewater Operator license required
Valid driver's license required
Compensation: $62,442 – $87,422
