Opportunity InformationSutter Medical Group BEAR (Bridging Evidence Assessment and Resources) Program seeks to hire a per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in Sacramento, CA.
The Bridging Evidence Assessment and Resources (BEAR) program is growing their elite team of highly trained forensic examiners to deliver 24/7/365 medical and forensic care to adults, adolescents, and pediatric patients who have experienced sexual assault, sexual abuse, or intimate partner violence and strangulation.
Requirements
This on-call position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Experience in areas requiring advanced physical assessment skills such as the emergency department, critical care and/or maternal/child health needed.
Previous experience as a medical-forensic examiner with completion of a Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner Training course preferred. Clinical training in the medical-forensic evidentiary examination will be provided if you are selected to be part of our team.
Applicants must be Nationally Certified and eligible for a California License.
The BEAR Team continually strives to provide excellence through rigorous quality assurance/improvement and training activities. We are the medical component of the Sexual Assault Response Team.

Sutter Medical Group (SMG) is a vibrant and talented community committed to delivering safe, affordable and high-quality care.
