Job Summary: The Junior Designer will design, present, and manage landscape projects for the high-end residential market.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with lead project designer to implement and oversee the preparation of AutoCAD drawings, 3D renderings, image presentations and estimates
- Perform on-site measurements
- Assist at client meetings with presentations and project development
- Assist with obtaining insurance and compliance documents for projects
- Responsible for procurement of specialty materials for projects
- Responsible for change orders, and ensuring continuous flow of the project to adhere to established timelines
Requirements:
- Strong command of AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Photoshop, InDesign, sketch-up, and the Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Ability to present and communicate design concepts clearly to a sophisticated client base
- Knowledge of construction industry and building techniques
- Great sense of design and aesthetics and eager to learn and contribute quickly
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Possess solid verbal and written communication skills
- Desire to grow professionally
Education & Experience:
- Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or Product Design required
- Minimum of 1+ years, high-end residential landscape design experience strongly preferred
- Experience preparing and updating cost estimates for labor, materials, and subcontractors, and coordinating with vendors preferred
Employment Type:
This is a full-time salaried position with room for growth. Successful candidate can expect to start on or around July 27, 2026. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Salary Range: $65,000-$70,000
Work location: Hybrid. Remote office work, with site visits throughout New York City.
