Investment Officer

Location: Singapore

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Principal, Investment Officer to drive asset allocation, investment strategy and asset-liability management (ALM). The role will partner with senior stakeholders across Investment, Actuarial, Product, Finance and Risk to develop investment strategies that optimise returns, capital efficiency, risk and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the development and implementation of Strategic Asset Allocation (SAA) and ALM frameworks.
2. Provide investment and capital markets recommendations for annual asset allocation reviews.
3. Partner with Product, Actuarial, Finance, Risk and Distribution teams on insurance product development and business growth initiatives.
4. Develop investment strategies covering asset allocation, yield enhancement, hedging, asset sourcing and balance sheet optimisation.
5. Set portfolio mandates and benchmarks, and monitor investment performance, regulatory requirements and risk limits.
6. Provide investment insights and recommendations to senior management and Investment/ALCO committees.
7. Support investment analytics, portfolio performance, capital impact and regulatory reporting.
8. Collaborate with Group Investment teams on strategic investment initiatives and governance.
9. Strengthen investment controls, governance and sustainability-related portfolio reporting.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or a related discipline; CFA/Master's preferred.
2. 10+ years of investment experience, particularly in SAA, ALM and asset allocation within life insurance, banking or asset management.
3. Strong knowledge of investment management, capital markets, balance sheet management and quantitative analysis.
4. Experience with derivatives, hedging, economic/regulatory capital and liability management is advantageous.
5. Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
6. Ability to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
