Description
A leading investment platform is seeking an Investment Associate to join its growing team in Singapore. This is a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure across private equity fund investments, portfolio management, investment analytics, product development, and co-investments within a highly respected investment organization.The successful candidate will work closely with experienced investment professionals and contribute to the evaluation, monitoring, and development of innovative private markets investment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Monitoring & Analysis
- Monitor and analyse the performance of private equity and venture capital fund investments.
- Collect, validate and interpret portfolio data to support investment oversight.
- Prepare periodic portfolio reports, dashboards and performance updates for internal stakeholders.
- Track key investment metrics, risk exposures and portfolio developments.
- Conduct financial and qualitative analysis on primary and secondary private equity and venture capital fund opportunities.
- Support the assessment of direct co-investment opportunities through detailed due diligence and financial analysis.
- Evaluate business models, growth prospects, financial forecasts and return potential.
- Prepare investment papers, reports and presentation materials for investment committee review.
- Build and maintain financial models to assess fund performance, investment returns and portfolio scenarios.
- Conduct sensitivity, stress-testing and scenario analyses.
- Develop portfolio analytics and reporting tools to enhance investment decision-making.
- Support data-driven insights into portfolio construction, risk and performance.
- Assist in the research, structuring and launch of innovative investment solutions.
- Perform quantitative analyses to support product design and development initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with investment, product and cross-functional teams on strategic projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline from a reputable university.
- Strong interest in private equity, venture capital and private markets investing.
- Prior experience through internships or full-time roles in investment management, private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or related fields is advantageous.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of fund cash flow modelling, valuation techniques and investment analysis methodologies is preferred.
- Exposure to data analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Python or R would be beneficial.
- Excellent quantitative, problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex analyses clearly.
- Detail-oriented, proactive and able to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
