Description
The Pharmacy Senior Manager provides leadership for inpatient, home infusion and outpatient oncology infusion pharmacy operations for Kaiser Permanente Washington, driving alignment of strategic priorities, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. The position partners with national, regional, and local leaders to improve operational performance, standardize processes, and ensure consistent delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care.
Responsibilities include overseeing implementation of quality and compliance initiatives; collaborating with leadership to deploy tools and processes; and providing consultative guidance on drug use management and care initiatives. The role also supports the development of pharmacy staff, fostering cross-functional partnerships with clinical and operational stakeholders, and ensures alignment through meetings, huddles, and strategic forums.
This role will have accountability over pharmacy clinical programs and competencies, communicating pharmacy program updates (e.g., compounding formulas, formulary records), monitor drug supply trends, and escalate inventory issues to inform enterprise-wide strategies. With the expansion of Kaiser Permanente Washington’s Capitol Hill inpatient services—including the addition of a small critical care unit—this role will serve as a key partner in the ongoing development of pharmacy operations.
An ideal candidate will have leadership experience in a 24/7/365 hospital setting, which includes managing various levels of direct reports (Pharmacists, Interns, Pharmacy Technicians, etc.). Candidates should have experience with developing, implementing and maintaining clinical workflows in collaboration with hospital and physician leadership. Ability to manage staff in a Union environment is a plus!
Current pay range is $231,000-$267,300/yr. Depending on experience. Qualified candidates may be eligible for relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000.
