Job Description
The Quality Assurance Technician ensures products, processes, and systems comply with internal quality standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements. You will perform production and quality control audits, verifies compliance with company procedures and external standards such as ISO, and supports continuous improvements. The technician investigates quality issues, assists with corrective actions, and helps maintain the effectiveness of the quality management system. Responsibilities may also include conducting vendor qualification audits, supporting GMP/GLP compliance efforts, and providing training on quality assurance processes to ensure product quality. You will report to the Senior Manager, Supplier Quality and work onsite in Whitestown, IN.
Your Responsibilities:
- Work in quality, warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or inventory control environments.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and dimensional tolerances.
- Use hand measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring devices.
- Knowledge of nonconforming material processes and material review board (MRB) procedures.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Sourcing, Supplier Quality, and Warehouse Operations.
- Manage multiple priorities and ensure timely disposition of suspect materials.
- Proficiency with warehouse, inventory, or ERP systems.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, MRB, warehouse quality, or manufacturing quality roles.
- Experience leading, training, or mentoring quality technicians or warehouse team members.
- Experience managing nonconforming materials, quarantine processes, and return-to-vendor activities.
- Knowledge of corrective action, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP.
- Familiarity with supplier quality processes and vendor return procedures.
- Experience creating and managing quality notifications, ZE transactions, or similar quality documentation.
- Understanding of product testing, inspection processes, and escalation procedures involving Engineering or Product Quality teams.
- Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to maintain inventory accuracy and quality standards in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or industrial manufacturing setting.
