- Human Resource Assistant
Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented, professional Human Resources Assistant to support our HR department. In this role, you will help manage daily HR operations spanning talent acquisition, employee benefits, payroll processing, and compliance while maintaining absolute confidentiality and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration: Maintain compliant physical and electronic personnel files, support the full recruitment and onboarding lifecycle (job postings, interviews, orientations), and assist with policy distribution, employee handbooks, and performance management.
Benefits Administration: Assist with health, retirement, and leave programs (FMLA, STD, LTD, Workers' Comp), manage benefit enrollments/renewals, and coordinate employee wellness, rewards, and company culture events.
Payroll Processing: Accurately calculate and process bi-weekly payroll, bonuses, and overtime, manage payroll records, ensure tax and regulatory compliance, and resolve employee payroll inquiries.
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Certification: Associate degree required; SHRM-CP credential required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR or a similar management support role (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HR software, payroll tools, and internet/computer hardware literacy. Paychex HRIS software a plus.
Core Competencies:

Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Solid working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local employment and payroll laws.
Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and critical thinking capabilities.
