Position Summary:
The Fixed Asset Manager is responsible for performing a variety of fiscal-related tasks that are standard or regular support duties within an assigned department or program. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the maintaining of the fixed asset records in the Banner System
- Conduct periodic physical inventories of the University's assets
- Communicate with faculty and staff on asset additions, deletions, and transfers
- Assist in the maintaining of the low value-high risk asset records in the Team Dynamics System
- Ensure accuracy of all data entered into the Banner and Team Dynamics Systems
- Occasional travel to other campus locations is required
- Position requires walking and standing for prolonged periods of time
- Position requires pushing, lifting, or carrying light to moderate objects (25lbs) and ability to pull, bend, kneel, and reach overhead
- Record asset data in an excel spreadsheet
- Review Pcard transactions for asset purchases
- Coordinate year-end purchase for resale types of inventories and supplies inventories
- Assist with annual audit
- Other duties assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of database accounting and management principles, applicable laws and regulations of assigned section, computers and software application programs, and customer service techniques
Ability to record fiscal data and manipulate data to generate complex reports and documents and conduct research and perform basic quantitative quality assurance reviews
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a Bachelor's Degree in general business, business administration, finance, or a related field
One (1) year of fiscal related experience
Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
