Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented finance professional to join our team and oversee a broad spectrum of financial operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of our group's accounting records, maintaining robust internal controls, and supporting the financial health of our managed funds. You will act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Control & Reporting

• Ledger Management: Oversee the group's accounting systems, ensuring all transactions and assets are recorded with precision.
• Month-End Excellence: Drive the month-end closing process and contribute to the production of high-level management reports.
• Regulatory Compliance: Execute regulatory reporting functions, including the preparation of Financial Resources Returns (FRR).
• Governance: Develop and uphold rigorous financial control frameworks to safeguard organizational integrity.

Fund Operations & Analysis

• Valuation Oversight: Partner with external fund administrators to review and verify monthly valuations for all managed funds.
• Performance Metrics: Generate insightful performance analyses to track and report on fund health and trends.

Treasury & Daily Operations

• Cash Management: Facilitate daily financial workflows, including payment processing and the administration of corporate bank accounts.
• Audit & Tax Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors to ensure seamless statutory filings and tax compliance.

Strategic Support

• Financial Statements: Prepare comprehensive financial statements in strict accordance with relevant accounting standards.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Lead or support special financial initiatives and projects as required by the leadership team.

The Successful Applicant

Candidate Profile

Professional Qualifications

• Academic Background: Holds a University Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
• Certifications: A CPA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.
• Career Stage: Ideally suited for a professional who has entered the workforce within the last 10-15 years, bringing a modern approach to financial workflows.

Technical Experience

• Industry Expertise: Minimum of 10 years of experience within Asset Management, Fund Administration, or a Tier-1 Financial Institution.
• Specialized Background: We hold a strong preference for candidates coming directly from External Audit (specializing in Asset Management) or Fund Accounting roles.
• Domain Knowledge: A solid foundational understanding of investment fund structures and the broader asset management landscape.
