Description
The office of Adams County Prosecuting Attorney is accepting resumes from persons interested in appointment as Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. Duties may include prosecution of District Court criminal matters, juvenile criminal matters, civil legal services to county departments, and Superior Court felony practice, depending on experience. Flexible schedules and potential remote working options available.
Applicants must have graduated from an accredited law school, must be a member in good standing of the Washington State Bar Association, and have a valid Washington State Driver’s License. Or is graduating from an ABA accredited law school in spring of 2026 and sitting for the July 2026 bar exam. Prior criminal, municipal, and/or civil experience is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential. Salary range is $100,271.56 to $116,076.86 annually, depending on qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefit package.

Requirements
Candidates must be a member in good standing of the Washington State Bar Association, or a recent law school graduate awaiting Bar result, or a recent law school graduate sitting for the July 2026 bar exam. Must have a valid Washington State Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one prior to the start date. Oral and written communication skills are essential. Prior prosecution experience not required.
