Job DescriptionOur Compliance, Conduct and Operational Risk ("CCOR") organization is at the forefront of managing risk in a complex and changing regulatory environment. Joining our department, you'll help to safeguard the firm's business by developing solutions that balance risk and regulatory requirements with the firm's business needs.
Join our dynamic APAC CCOR Automation Team and play a pivotal role in delivering strategic objectives. As an Associate, you'll engage with senior stakeholders and gain insight into managing CCOR in a global financial institution.
As an Associate in the APAC CCOR Automation Team, you will take responsibility for key automation initiatives and support our innovation agenda. You will work closely with locations, Lines of Business (LOB), horizontal and regional CCOR teams. This role presents an exciting opportunity to interact with senior stakeholders and gain insight into the management of CCOR in a complex global financial institution.
Job responsibilities
- Participate in strategic project management, data analysis, and innovation agenda roll-out driven by business needs.
- Project manage automation initiatives and strategies by coordinating efforts across teams, managing timelines, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Identify opportunities to deploy process changes, system enhancements, business productivity, efficiency tools, and automation.
- Lead and govern the Innovation and Automation agenda, including identifying opportunities for AI integration and new technology adoption.
Minimum Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Required capabilities, and skills
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment; able to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, escalate appropriately, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong compliance mindset and risk awareness; able to identify issues, assess impact, and drive pragmatic, well-controlled outcomes.
- Clear, concise communicator with strong stakeholder management skills; able to translate regulatory/compliance requirements into actionable guidance for business partners.
- Strong analytical skills: proficient in working with large datasets, synthesizing insights, and documenting recommendations and rationale.
- Intellectually curious with a growth mindset; willing to challenge the status quo, improve processes, and continuously upskill as regulations and business models evolve.
- Experience delivering workflow/automation solutions (e.g., Python, Alteryx, UiPath or similar) to enhance controls, surveillance/monitoring, reporting, or operational efficiency.
- A minimum of 5 years of Compliance or other related experience, such as Risk management, Audit, or similar Control-related experience.
- Exceptional project management abilities, including planning timelines, communicating requirements, providing regular updates, and ensuring timely execution.
Preferred qualifications
- Hands-on experience using GenAI tools to improve compliance workflows (e.g., monitoring, reporting, QA), with strong attention to data handling, governance, and confidentiality.
- Experience delivering workflow/automation solutions (e.g., SQL, Python, VBA, Alteryx, UiPath or similar) to enhance controls, surveillance/monitoring, reporting, or operational efficiency.
- Ability to develop specialized skillsets for conducting in-depth analysis.
. - Prior experience in a regional or multi-jurisdictional role requiring regular engagement across APAC markets and time zones
- Shift Timings : 11:30-8:30pm
