1995
Driving Obsession Founded in Denver, CO
Founded by Clayton Cole. Joe Assell is hired as first teaching professional.

1997
Rebranded to GOLFTEC
Opened 3rd location in Chicago as GOLFTEC started to expand across the U.S.

2002
Patented first coaching software
GOLFTEC’s original coaching software was officially patented in 2002.

2005
200 Coaches & 38 Locations
Steady growth bucked industry trends through the late 2000s by helping people play better golf.

2010
First International Store Open
GOLFTEC expands to the international market with the first store in Canada. Teaches 2 Millionth Lesson.

2015
Celebrates 20th Anniversary
GOLFTEC launches iPad teaching software called TECswing GO.

New Headquarters and Rebrand
Moves into World Headquarters in Denver, CO. Rolls out new logo and center design with state-of-the-art cameras.

Optimotion on CBS
Optimotion swing capture technology is used during a PGA Tour event on CBS.
