Job Description
As a Investment VC Associate, your main responsibilities will include:
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver investment recommendations and performance updates to senior leadership.
- Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including financial modeling, market and competitor analysis, and assessment of management teams.
- Portfolio Management: Support and monitor portfolio companies post-investment by offering strategic guidance, facilitating business development, and ensuring alignment with broader corporate objectives.
- Internal Collaboration: Coordinate with internal departments such as legal, finance, and operations to ensure seamless execution of investment strategies.
- Deal Structuring: Assist in negotiating and structuring investment deals, including drafting term sheets and finalizing legal documentation.
- Deal Sourcing: Identify and evaluate new investment opportunities through market research, trend analysis, and company assessments.
A successful Investment VC Associate should have:
- Bachelor's degree from global top tier university in finance, business, economics, or a related discipline.
- 2-6 years of relevant experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or a similar field.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and analysis. Ability to evaluate the financial health and growth potential of target companies.
- Strong understanding of relevant industry sectors, market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting in-depth due diligence processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior stakeholders.
- Business-level fluency in English and Mandarin. Proficiency in Cantonese or another Asian language is an advantage.
