Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Paralegal with significant federal court experience to join our team. This position supports attorneys in complex litigation in federal, state, and tribal courts, as well as business transactions and regulatory compliance matters for tribal governments and tribal enterprises. The ideal candidate is highly organized, has the ability to work independently, experienced in electronic court filing systems, comfortable managing fast-moving litigation, and capable of supporting corporate and compliance projects with precision and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery in Federal, State, and Tribal Courts
- Maintain litigation calendars and ensure timely filings and court appearances
- Coordinate with court clerks, clients, and opposing counsel
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical case files
- Prepare discovery responses and assemble exhibits for hearings, depositions, and trials
- Provide trial support, including preparation of binders, witness files, and exhibit lists
- Conduct legal and factual research and draft case summaries
- Represent the firm’s mission and values in client and court interactions
- Support entity formation, governance, and transactional closings
- Conduct due diligence and maintain corporate records
- Assist with contract drafting, review, and management
- Track regulatory deadlines and support compliance filings
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience, including at least 3 years in federal litigation
- Strong knowledge of federal court procedures, including ECF filings and local rules
- Familiarity with Tribal Courts is preferred but not required
- Proficiency with legal technology: Westlaw, PACER, Adobe Pro, and case management software
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Commitment to serving Native communities and supporting tribal self-governance
