The Sr Business Writer is responsible for managing more complex documentation and process definition or improvement projects. This position guides/participates in content development and optimization efforts by leveraging data/observations to understand customer/user needs, uncover knowledge gaps, and develop an industry best practice approach to knowledge sharing across all internal stakeholders. This position builds close working relationship with a variety of functional and cross functional teams to ensure content requirements are analyzed and documented for a broad set of consumers.
Essential Functions
- Proficient within all the duties, responsibilities & essential functions of the Business Writer.
- Plans and drives complex documentation repository implementation projects, identifying organizational needs by team/audience, types, and maintain overall organizational standards.
- Partners with internal audit, business continuance, legal, or other internal departments to ensure documentation meets any necessary regulatory, compliance, audit, or other standards.
- Drives process review when needed and makes process improvement recommendations based upon best practices and Empower driving principles.
- Partners with Products and Systems to identify and support organizational needs regarding new products, features, or enhancements.
- Represent department during internal department or organizational meetings with internal partners.
- Participates in special department projects/committees as assigned which are designed to improve processes that enhance client and/or staff experience.
- Partners with subject matter experts and system develop teams to develop documentation for new builds. This may include review and analysis of complex system requirements or design documents.
- Leads process mapping discussions and provides best practice process guidance/recommendations.
- Lead knowledge management discussions with teams to provide best practice process guidance/recommendations
- Capable of building knowledge management repositories (ex. SharePoint) and find solutions for a team's knowledge management needs when capacity allows. Supports the development of business solutions, participates in special projects, assists with team administrative duties, or performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in BA( or any other financial streams - journalism and content writing related to Finance , Advanced experience in Technical Writing, Process
- Four years' relevant work experience
- Proven ability to learn new tools and processes quickly
- Exceptional skill in creating grammatically correct text, and an ability to write accurately, succinctly, and with minimal need for editing/proofing
- 2+ years of experience in creating single-sourced documentation (conditional text) to create output in more than one format (for example, PDF, HTML, Web).
- 2+ years of experience in all aspects of planning, designing, implementing, testing, and delivering a documentation project.
- Proven ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as being a contributing member of a cohesive development team
- Proven ability to recognize and adapt to changing requirements, schedule changes, and any other challenges that might affect a project
- Proven ability to adhere to a particular writing style to maintain a consistent voice across the modules of a product
