Our firm is currently hiring a Program Scheduler based in the Los Angeles, CA area. The Program Scheduler will support multiple projects of various types including transportation, water/stormwater, infrastructure, and other public works building projects. This is an outstanding opportunity to bring your specialized construction scheduling expertise to an industry leading team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain comprehensive program schedules, identify relationships, logic, milestones, and constraints for a large public agency Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Construction projects of various types include transportation, water/stormwater, infrastructure, public safety, parks and recreation, libraries, housing, healthcare, detention, etc.
Review contractor baseline schedule submissions to verify that all work scope is properly identified and logically sequenced. Provide detailed written comments and feedback to ensure alignment with project objectives and timelines.
Perform quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on contractor schedule submittals, ensuring conformance with the contract. Review critical path, cost loading, resource loading (man-hours), schedule content, recovery schedules, logic relationships, lags, constraints, and milestones for accuracy and completeness.
Perform time impact analysis for any change orders that affect the construction schedule and participate in negotiations between the client Project Manager and contractors to resolve delay time settlements and mitigate schedule impacts.
Conduct critical path analysis and earned value analysis regularly to ensure that construction projects remain on track and meet time and budget requirements. Provide reports to identify potential issues and corrective actions.
Regularly perform QA/QC reviews on program schedules and master schedules to ensure accuracy and compliance with program standards. Ensure proper use of program-level standard codes, layouts, and reports to maintain data integrity.
Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our client to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
Minimum 15 years of experience in creating, updating, and maintaining program schedules for public agency CIP projects.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 and some Microsoft Project.
Design, develop, and update project program schedule.
Assist to set up tasks and sub tasks to ensure satisfactory realization of project contract requirements as scheduled.
Organize, implement, and maintain projects program schedule in scheduling management system (P6).
Interact with project team and task managers to define scope of work to develop and update detailed schedules, cost information and identification of variances from original plan.
Update project timelines and maintain database of tasks and its status.
Update all new information into database and provide scheduled reports for contract coordination and reporting purposes.
Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress.
Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas.
Review and analyze construction schedule
Perform Time Impact analysis for change order work to determine how or if it affects the schedule and determining the proper critical path items
Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around.
Schedules for recovery, re-sequencing, re-coding, Creating Baselines for submittal on projects.
Verify that cost loaded activity dollar remaining does not push the days remaining past its anticipated finish date.
Experience with various project delivery methods such as design-build, progressive design-build, CMAR, and Job Order Contracting (JOC) preferred.

The salary range for this full-time role is $120,200.00-$160,266.69 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package.
