About our client

Our client is a fast-growing PE-backed SAP consultancy, that was recently acquired by a well-known private equity fund. The company actively pursues a buy & build strategy while growing double-digit organically. They are looking for a M&A and Strategic Projects Manager, to join their team in Hamburg (with some flexibility for other locations, e.g. Munich, Düsseldorf, Dortmund), who will drive the buy & build strategy via identification, analysis, and implementation of transactions.

This position is a great opportunity for an ambitious M&A professional, looking to take real ownership in an exciting buy & build company, where they can drive M&A transactions and strategic projects together with the C-Level. What the job involves

• Building and developing a strong pipeline of further acquisitions, together with the board, management as well as M&A advisors
• Managing M&A transactions from start to finish. Owning the entire M&A process as well as post-merger integration with a very hands-on approach. While the management team and PE fund will support and provide input, they expect a self-starting professional
• Working with entrepreneurs, guiding them through the process and building a strong own network in the industry
• Driving the growth and professionalization of the business with involvement in strategic projects and close work with the C-level and the PE fund
• Establishing and professionalizing reporting structures for the PE fund as well as financing parties

Who we are looking for

• Multiple years of professional experience in sourcing and executing deals in Germany in mid-market environments, either in a PE-backed portfolio company or M&A advisory boutique or investment bank
• Strong track record of executing M&A transactions, ideally within IT services or business services. First experience with SAP or other ERP vendors is beneficial, but not required
• We are looking for an outgoing natural networker with a results-driven and goal-oriented personality backed by an analytical thinking and data-driven approach
• Hands-on and down-to-earth approach, with high interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, self-starting mentality and drive to take ownership
• Structured, independent way of working and a high degree of ownership
• Fluency in German and English
