Investment Director | Cincinnati, Ohio In-Person Role | Travel Required
About the Firm
Constellation Wealth Advisors is an independent, registered investment advisor acting as a multi-family office solution for ultra-affluent families. Our firm, and its advisors, currently oversees more than $5.8 billion in assets under management.
Quadrant Private Capital is the private capital arm of Constellation with over $1.2 billion of commitments under management investing in niche and sector-focused fund and co-investment opportunities across several asset classes: private equity, venture and growth capital, real assets, private credit, and structured capital.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Investment Director to join our team as a trusted senior partner to the Chief Investment Officer. This role combines hands-on investment management duties across public and private markets with team leadership, client and advisor engagement, and external partner development.
The Investment Director plays a dual role: ensuring investments are reviewed with rigor and discipline, and serving as a credible, compelling voice for our investment philosophy to advisors, clients, and outside partners.
Our team actively builds proprietary software and coding solutions to enhance our investment process, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in that environment: always seeking smarter, more efficient ways to work. The ideal candidate brings technical depth, exceptional communication skills, is energized rather than overwhelmed by complexity.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Management
- Source, evaluate, and lead investment opportunities across public and private markets in partnership with the CIO
- Drive the end-to-end investment process from initial screening through due diligence, execution, and ongoing portfolio management
- Contribute to investment strategy development and portfolio construction alongside the broader investment team
- Demonstrate comfort operating across asset classes and bring a quick, curious approach to learning new industries, structures, and opportunities
Team Leadership
- Play a central role in elevating the standard of work across the investment team, fostering a culture of accountability, rigor, and continuous improvement
- Develop and challenge team members in their analytical capabilities and professional growth, with authority commensurate with the role
- Translate investment strategy into clear team priorities, ensuring follow-through and surfacing obstacles in a timely manner
- Own the team’s daily rhythm facilitating weekly meetings, maintaining disciplined tracking across a dynamic portfolio of priorities, and driving process improvement
- Identify gaps in process or capacity and proactively develop solutions
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages rigorous analysis and thoughtful debate
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a confident, articulate voice for Constellation’s investment philosophy across a range of audiences from sophisticated clients in high-stakes settings to wealth advisors seeking clear and concise talking points they can deliver with confidence
- Equip advisors with the clarity and framing they need to communicate complex investment strategies at all levels of client sophistication
- Oversee the quality and process of investment communications including memos, presentations, and reports ensuring that complex ideas are translated into accessible, compelling insights
- Partner with outside fund managers, GPs, and co-investment partners as a primary relationship point, representing Constellation’s interests and navigating complex private capital negotiations and deal structures
- Ensure clear communication flow between the CIO and the broader Constellation team, translating investment decisions and rationale for wealth advisors and leadership
