Overview
Lutron Electronics is seeking a proactive, strategic, and relationship-driven Indirect Commodity Manager to join our growing Procurement organization at our Global Headquarters in Coopersburg, PA. This is an opportunity to influence how a global innovation leader manages critical indirect categories and builds a resilient, future-ready supply base. In this high-visibility role, you will shape and execute sourcing strategies across key indirect spend areas including Facilities Management, Professional Services, and emerging business needs; all while supporting Lutron's commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement. You'll partner closely with cross-functional teams, lead supplier negotiations, and drive measurable value through cost optimization, service quality, compliance, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Shape and execute strategic sourcing plans for key indirect categories supporting Operations and IT.
- Lead supplier performance management for in-scope partners through reviews, KPIs, and standards alignment.
- Partner with Legal to support contract development, negotiation, and execution, optimizing cost and compliance.
- Collaborate with analysts to interpret spend data and market trends, turning insights into business value.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand evolving requirements and align indirect strategies with business priorities.
- Apply should-cost analysis and cost modeling to validate pricing and strengthen negotiation positions.
- Leverage supplier and market benchmarking to drive action plans improving cost, service, and capability.
- Partner across Commodity Management to refine processes, improve tools, and enhance sourcing efficiency.
- Participate in supplier evaluation and selection to ensure strategic alignment, risk management, and long-term value.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, business, or related field.
- 10 or more years of industry experience; at least 5 years' experience in indirect procurement or strategic sourcing.
- Experience managing facilities and/or professional services categories is a plus.
- Proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier performance.
- Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., Coupa, SAP, Oracle).
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
