Position Overview
The Head Golf Course Superintendent reports directly to the General Manager and serves as a key member of the Club's senior leadership team. The Superintendent is responsible for agronomic performance, maintenance operations, personnel leadership, budgeting, capital planning, equipment management, irrigation systems, and regulatory compliance.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a motivated maintenance team
• Operate with fiscal discipline while strategically planning capital improvements
• Communicate confidently with members, leadership, and committees

• Take ownership of both daily execution and long-term planning

Core Responsibilities
• Develop and implement comprehensive agronomic programs
• Maintain exceptional year-round playing conditions
• Lead irrigation strategy and water management planning
• Oversee fertilizer and pesticide programs with regulatory compliance
• Develop and manage annual operating and capital budgets
• Oversee equipment replacement and lifecycle planning
• Recruit, train, and retain a skilled grounds team
• Collaborate closely with Club leadership and committees

Qualifications
• 2- or 4-year degree in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, or related field
• Missouri Category 3 Pesticide License (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Progressive leadership experience in golf course maintenance
• Demonstrated success managing budgets and agronomic programs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High attention to detail and passion for excellence
