Description

TriTec is seeking a Safety Support Engineer to join our site safety team in support of large-scale industrial construction and installation projects within active plant environments. This role works closely with site leadership, plant personnel, contractor management teams, and skilled trades to evaluate, monitor, and continuously improve site safety processes and compliance.

The Safety Support Engineer serves as a visible field presence, ensuring safe work execution, regulatory compliance, and adherence to project-specific construction safety standards while maintaining productive working relationships between plant operations and construction activities.

This is a hands-on, field-based role requiring strong construction knowledge, situational awareness, and the ability to communicate effectively with both management and craft professionals.

Requirements

5+ years of construction safety experience in industrial, manufacturing, or heavy construction environments
Experience working in active plant / manufacturing facilities preferred
Strong working knowledge of:

OSHA construction standards
High-risk construction activities
Equipment inspection protocols
Pre-Task Planning processes
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with plant personnel and skilled trades
OSHA 30 minimum (CHST, CSP preferred)
