You will partner with business stakeholders to ensure compliance, drive operational efficiency, and foster a collaborative oversight model. Your role will empower you to champion continuous improvement, support robust governance practices, and contribute to a culture of partnership and accountability. You will play a key part in maintaining high standards and supporting the firm's strategic goals.
Job responsibilities
- Lead and manage operations, including resource allocation, workflow optimization, and performance management.
- Motivate, coach, and empower team members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Oversee a pipeline of inter-affiliate and third-party risk assessments, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
- Track and report on services throughout the risk assessment lifecycle.
- Prepare and present performance metrics to senior stakeholders, providing insights into operational effectiveness.
- Identify and articulate risks and issues to business representatives, driving proactive risk mitigation.
- Oversee system updates and documentation maintenance in line with firm policies.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and consultation to team members.
- Support the development and implementation of robust governance practices.
- Collaborate with business partners across regions to ensure alignment with regulatory commitments and best practices.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 10 years' experience in financial services or related industries, with proven expertise in risk assessment, compliance, and governance.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with ability to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, able to interact effectively with senior business partners and stakeholders.
- Proven leadership in managing teams and fostering a collaborative environment.
- Flexible attitude in managing multiple tasks and adapting to change.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Sound business judgment and ability to address issues early, performing root cause analysis for long-term solutions.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance, governance, and operational excellence.
- Experience supporting legal entity risk assessment processes and familiarity with third-party governance models.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, with ability to adapt communication style to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Practical knowledge of automation solutions and workflow tools, such as Alteryx and UiPath.
- Experience working in global or regional team environments, collaborating across functions and geographies.
- Familiarity with operational risk management frameworks.
- Experience in process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to drive change and influence stakeholders.
- Advanced degree in business, finance, or related field.
- Multilingual skills or experience working with diverse teams.
