Valencia College is now hiring a Business Analyst, Senior to support our team in the West Campus Financial Aid Office.
The Business Analyst, Senior serves as the lead technical liaison and subject-matter expert for financial aid systems, with a primary focus on the optimization and management of Ellucian Banner. This role leads a team of business analysts to streamline workflows, ensure regulatory compliance, and translate complex institutional needs into effective technical solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and student service through system configuration, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.
In addition, this position requires strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to train and mentor others, and the capacity to think critically, use sound judgment, and handle sensitive information responsibly. The individual must have a proven track record of working effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Information:
- Salary: $63,150 - $71,360
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; schedule subject to change based on business needs.
- This position operates in a Primarily Remote environment. The role involves occasional travel, attendance at meetings and campus events and off-campus work as needed
- This position is not eligible for Veteran’s Preference under Florida Statute 295.07(5)(a), F.S

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Three (3) years of experience in Financial Aid or a related field
- Demonstrated experience with Ellucian Banner (required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three (3) or more years working with Ellucian Banner
- Experience with Banner Financial Aid module operations, including design, system functionality, testing, and implementation
- Familiarity with SQL, Argos, or other reporting tools
- Prior leadership experience and ability to lead and train team members
